Ten Minutes To A Better You

Ten Minutes To A Better you

(Challenge 1 of 3 in our: “ 3 in 30 for a Better You” )

Everyone loves when their day goes smoothly. Its the wind under your sails. Everybody's idea of their perfect day is different but generally you're more productive, energized and overall at peace with the day to day operations. Yet we all know that everyday can't be perfect.

Countless studies and sage advice has taught us: how you start your day can have a huge impact on your outward attitude for the entire day. Start your morning off bad and you just might get stuck in a rut.

With that idea in mind, we've started a challenge to help improve our readers days and nights for that matter, in only five to ten minutes a day. Yes you read that right! Improve your day in minutes.
We've developed what we like to call “Mindless Meditation”. The entire phrase is an oxymoron, being as meditation means to concentrate or focus the mind, just the opposite of mindless. But before you click the back button: there's a method to our mindlessness *Ahem*  we mean Meditation..
Everyone has five to ten minutes a day, that they are performing some mundane task without really thinking of it. (Morning routines, evening routines, making coffee, ect.)  These are the perfect opportunities for mindless Meditation because while your performing one task you can accomplish another.

We want you to spend these five to ten moments in your day thinking of ALL of things You are grateful for. We've emphasized you because everyone is different! One person may be grateful for their morning cup of joe, while another may be grateful to have groceries this month. THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION OR RACE. Everyone has their own life and own set of issues. This is a a self help challenge and if your focused on others , your not helping yourself!
Start off slow. If you can only think of one thing: that's fine. Spend the remaining minutes focusing on that one thing. (EXAMPLE : If its coffee : focus on how the smell makes you affects you, how the taste brings you joy, how it warms you in cold months and brings that boost of energy you need to start your day.) Eventually you have a full list before you know it!
If your really up for the challenge try incorporating it in your evenings too but with a slight twist. Think of your entire day (Now that its over !!!) And focus on all the good things that happen today, regardless if it's small or insignificant. (The cutie smiling at you at lunch, your boss saying Good job, someone holding an elevator door..ect.) Before you know it, things will change !

Track it ! For something to become a habit it needs to be consistent. There are so many ways to track things now a days. It's easy to  find the right one for you. There's Apps , planners, journals , notebooks, like the one sold in our affiliates’ store Awsome tracking supplies">Amazon. ( While we do receive a small commission for referring people to really great deals on cool stuff,  you're under No obligation to buy!)

Tracking guarantees you less likely to forget and will feel a sense of accomplishment.
It takes an average of 21 days to form a habit but for our challenge, we’re going 30 days!
This is apart of a group of challenges we like to call the “3 in 30 for a better you!” We've designed three very simple challenges that you can track together or separately.  They literally take minutes a day and well improve your overall wellness dramatically.
The great thing about this is you can do this alone or with others. In the comfort of your own home or share with our online communities! No matter which way you go, your sure to  come out of this challenge on top! Only way to fail this challenge is not to participate. If you missed a day or two just continue where you left off ! Its It's that easy!
